Sam Bowles & Weikai Chen publish a new book
Sam Bowles and Weikai Chen's new book, Allocation, Distribution, and Policy: Notes, Problems, and Solutions in Microeconomics, is available now.
Allocation, Distribution, and Policy is a fantastic new book of problem sets packed with real data on inequality and the environment. Building on Sam's pioneering introduction of problems sets as a tool for learning economics, the book brings together a new collection of problem sets constructed around the problems that today's economics students must grapple with.
The book is available as a free PDF via Open Book Publishers here. In the video below, Sam discusses how the book relates to the Stone Centre's focus on inequality.
To hear more about the book, our friends at CORE Econ have a full interview with Sam on YouTube. In it, Sam discusses many aspects of his work and the book, including the initial reaction to his introduction of problem sets in economics teaching in the 1960s. It's well worth watching!
